Writing Music for Fife and Drum

As part of the AloneTogetherProject we’ve been encouraging the creation of new music for fife and drum and collecting it here. I’m happy to report that there has been a creative surge and already we have received a handful of new submissions!

First off, Jo Nazro wrote a rockin’ new drum part for a tune called Turning the Stone. Meanwhile, Kate Bolcar has been very productive with few new tunes, including her latest, Locked Down, Suds Up!. Also, Marc Bernier has submitted a wonderfully fun arrangement based on a Karl L. King score from the 1930’s, called The Three Musketeers. Lastly, I have it on good authority that Colin Mason is diligently working on a fife arrangement!
